Would you ever go horseback riding in Colorado for your elopement? Maddy and Sebastian did! They picked Sundance Trail Guest Ranch in Red Feather Lakes, and it was the perfect location to bring their vision to life.
The day started with getting ready photos in the Eagle Suite, followed by a first look with horses outside the lodge, and then a horseback ride through Roosevelt National Forest for their ceremony.

Maddy and Sebastian met on Hinge in 2020. At the time, Maddy had just moved to Colorado from Hawaii, where she attended high school and lived with her military family, while Sebastian had recently left the Marine Corps and relocated from North Carolina. Now they live together in Colorado and share a home with their two dogs. Their favorite things to do together include spending time outdoors, going for beautiful drives, eating amazing food, and watching comedy.

The day began with Maddy getting ready at the ranch, surrounded by her mom and sister. Her sister did her makeup while her mom helped her into her dress. Then Maddy and Sebastian shared a first look in front of the lodge with their horses by their side.
From there, we rode out on horseback through Roosevelt National Forest to a private overlook for their ceremony. With Sebastian’s best friend officiating, they exchanged personal vows. After exploring the ceremony location for more photos, we made our way back to the ranch.
To wrap up the day, Maddy and Sebastian took part in a special ranch tradition: burning their initials into the wooden walls of the lodge as a lasting memory of the day.
