3 Reasons to do Engagement Photos

I’m often asked if I recommend doing an engagement session, and my answer is always yes! I love engagement sessions, and believe they are important for 3 reasons:

• An engagement session allows you to become comfortable and confident in front of the camera, even if you’ve never had professional photos taken.
• The session is a great opportunity for us to get to know each other better, and for you to become familiar with my shooting and posing style.
• Engagement sessions are fun! Engagement is a special time in itself, and the session will preserve and capture this special time in your life before you tie the knot.

For destination weddings, I often recommend either a portrait session the day before or the day after the wedding. On your wedding day, you often only have a short time for portraits, but a separate session will allow you to have more photos of just the two of you in the amazing destination where you chose to start your life together.
