Julianna and Adam were married at their Chautauqua Park wedding in Boulder, Colorado!
Their day blended Jewish traditions, quality time with loved ones, and the charm of the historic Chautauqua Dining Hall. From a heartfelt ketubah signing to laughter-filled family photos and an ice cream bar reception, the entire celebration felt full of joy!

In their words:
“We met through the highly prestigious Bumble App. Julianna told Adam what she was making for dinner that night as an opening line, and Adam took the bait. We almost didn’t meet because Adam had to go out of town. But after some pleasant texting, at the last second, we managed to make a date about 3 weeks after introducing ourselves to each other. By the second date, which lasted for 8 hours, we knew that this was going to be something special. It turns out we were right!”
When I asked them what was most important to them on their wedding day, they said:
“Sharing our special day with our loved ones is very important to us. We want to make sure everybody is captured candidly because these are the people we love most. We are excited to make our greatest commitment to each other in front of our wedding guests!”

Julianna and Adam chose Chautauqua Park in Boulder for its natural beauty and the historic charm of the Chautauqua Dining Hall.
The day started with a first look at one of the Chautauqua cottages, followed by the ketubah signing with their closest family and friends. Then we all walked over to the Chautauqua Green for the ceremony.
Their ceremony took place on the Chautauqua Green, with the iconic Flatirons in the background. Their friends and family came together on the green for a Jewish ceremony under the chuppah. After the ceremony, Julianna and Adam stepped away for yichud, a private moment together, while guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the stone patio outside the Dining Hall. After spending a few minutes alone together, I met back up with Julianna and Adam for photos of just the two of them at Chautauqua Park.
Dinner and the reception took place in the historic Chautauqua Dining Hall. And we did one of my favorite wedding traditions – the Hora! In this traditional, high-energy Jewish wedding dance, guests form dancing circles and lift the couple on chairs. I LOVE the hora dance. It’s so fun, energetic, and exciting.
Their wedding also included lots of personal details. Julianna’s engagement ring had been passed down from Adam’s great-grandmother. Their guest books reflected two things they love most: jazz and travel. Many of the details were handmade or deeply personal. Julianna’s dad painted the guest card box, their place cards and thank-you notes were handwritten and watercolor-painted, and Adam’s brother created a pen-and-ink drawing of Chautauqua that became their wedding cookbook favors.
