Lyric and Alex’s Sapphire Point elopement was intimate, meaningful, and centered on the people and pets they love most.
With their closest family members, their officiant, and their two dogs by their side, their day was a beautiful mix of emotion, adventure, and quiet moments in the Colorado mountains.

Lyric and Alex met on Tinder, but officially met in person at a baseball game. What started as a dating app match quickly grew into something lasting and deeply meaningful. When it came time to plan their wedding, they knew they wanted something small and intentional. Including their dogs was one of their biggest priorities, and they loved the idea of having them as part of the ceremony and even as witnesses.
They also wanted a truly unique location that felt different from a traditional wedding venue and reflected their love for nature and adventure.
When I asked them what was most important to them on their elopement day, they said “being present in the moment.”

The day began at their Airbnb in Silverthorne, where Alex and Lyric got ready. Lyric and her dad did a first look before we all left to drive to Sapphire Point for the ceremony.
At Sapphire Point, surrounded by mountain views and Dillon Reservoir below, Lyric and Alex said their vows in front of their closest family members, their officiant, and their two dogs. Their ceremony included several deeply personal elements, including a chair reserved to honor Alex’s mom, who passed away in August 2024, with her photo and a corsage placed on the seat. Because she was an identical twin, Alex’s aunt was present in her honor.
Their dogs played a huge role throughout the ceremony, even “signing” the marriage certificate as witnesses. After the ceremony, everyone stayed at Sapphire Point for family portraits and time to simply be together.
Lyric surprised her dad with a father-daughter dance on the shore of Dillon Reservoir. Then Lyric and Alex said goodbye to everyone and headed to Loveland Pass, just the two of them. At Loveland Pass, they exchanged private vows with each other, and then we explored the trails and took sunset photos.
Their day was so fun and included so many stunning locations and personal moments. Lyric and Alex’s Sapphire Point elopement was a perfect reminder that weddings do not have to be big to be powerful. With their dogs, their family, and the Colorado mountains as their backdrop, they created a day that was deeply personal, emotional, and unforgettable.
