Tobi and Andrew celebrated their love with a vibrant Colorado Nigerian wedding that beautifully blended cultures and traditions. Set against the stunning mountain backdrop of Colorado, their day was filled with laughter, candid moments, and cherished family memories. With Tobi’s Nigerian heritage and Andrew’s Colorado roots, their wedding was a colorful, joyous celebration of love, unity, and culture!
Tobi and Andrew’s story began on OkCupid, just before the world shut down in February 2020. Tobi’s detailed, heartfelt profile caught Andrew’s attention, even though his profile pictures were a decade old (almost catfish material, she jokes). But his genuine curiosity and thoughtful follow-up questions won her over.
They messaged back and forth for about a week before Andrew bravely asked Tobi out. But with the pandemic in full swing, meeting in person wasn’t an option. Undeterred, Andrew suggested a virtual date. Tobi nearly canceled, but thankfully, she didn’t. Despite technical hiccups and awkward moments, they connected.
Five months of texting later – yes, five months! – they finally met in person. Nervous and excited, Tobi changed her outfit three times before meeting Andrew for a walk in a nearby park. She brought wine in a classy Yeti bottle, and they talked until nearly 11 pm. It was then Tobi realized, “I could talk to this man forever.” And just like that, their forever began.
Tobi and Andrew’s Colorado Nigerian wedding was a beautiful blend of cultures, traditions, and heartfelt moments. The day was filled with candid laughter, emotional exchanges, and vibrant celebrations that honored Tobi’s Nigerian heritage and Andrew’s Colorado roots.
One of the most meaningful aspects was Tobi’s family, who traveled all the way from Nigeria for the wedding!
The couple incorporated two significant cultural elements into their wedding day:
Their wedding was such a beautiful day spent with their family and friends from all over the world! I absolutely loved seeing all of the different cultural elements come together, and let me tell you. The dance floor was FUN!
