Max and Aaron had their engagement photos at a beautiful alpine lake near Boulder, Colorado. This lake is one of my favorite spots for photos and personal adventures. The lake is a perfect backdrop, and the sun sets directly behind the mountains. Plus, there is a meadow next to the lake, and you can explore a network of trails through the grasses and trees.

It’s evident that Max and Aaron share so much joy together, and it was so much fun to hang out with them for an evening!

Their Story

In Max’s words:

“Aaron and I met randomly at a house party of a mutual acquaintance, and roughly 6 months later he summoned the courage to send me a friend request on fb (ahhhh modern romance). That turned into hours of texting while I was visiting family out of state, which led to our first date at the Bohemian Biergarten (I blew off all my evening work to see him but he didn’t know that). Honestly, I wasn’t really looking for anything at the time, but we clicked immediately and that’s more or less how everything started. Funny enough, it almost ended in disaster that first date when he leaned in but I leaned away (I didn’t want to be the girl who kisses in bars). But I called him 5 minutes after he walked me to my car to tell him how much I loved our date and liked him/wanted to see him again.”
