Congratulations to Thania and Garrett!

How they met:

Thania and Garrett met in middle school 13 years ago! They actually dated for 2 weeks after playing on the same soccer team when Thania was 12 and Garrett was 13. Fast forward to high school and the two end up in the same accounting class. As Thania says, “I walked into Mr. Keetons accounting class and sure enough I spotted his goofy blue eyes in the back right corner of the class. I instantly without a doubt walked towards him and sat right next to him.”

The rest is history! They started dating a year after that class, and 8 years later, they are finally married.

The Wedding: 

They were married at Garrett’s family’s riverfront cabin in Eldorado Maryland. The ceremony was on the DeWolf family’s private dock, and everyone danced the night away beneath tents, trees, and twinkling string lights.

The wedding was also a mix of cultures. Thania’s family is from Mexico, and the entire wedding had mixes of both Mexican and American culture. The ceremony was in both Spanish and English. Dinner included both authentic tacos, Mexican candy, and elote (Mexican street corn) right beside traditional American fare. The decorations were as colorful as the Mexican soda on every table, and a sombrero was passed around the dance floor.

This wedding was gorgeous, and so much fun. Enjoy some of my favorites from the day!
