Alicia and Xack’s Rocky Mountain National Park elopement was a wild spring day with breathtaking views of Dream Lake and the surrounding mountains.
We hiked up to Dream Lake, Alicia wore a stunning black dress, and we had the best day in the park.
Note: Ceremonies are not permitted at Dream Lake. For Alicia and Xack’s elopement, they did not exchange vows.

Alicia and Xack first met on Facebook! In their words:
“On our first date, we went to Texas Roadhouse and spent 4 hours talking and laughing and barely eating our food. And every day after that, we would meet each other before and after work just to see each other. We called those our parking lot dates lol.”

When it came time to plan their wedding, Alicia and Xack found themselves drawn to something more personal. Alicia didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on a traditional wedding, while Xack wanted to dress up and share an intimate experience together.
They decided to plan a vacation-style elopement in Colorado, where they could celebrate while being surrounded by the mountains.
For their elopement day, we met at the park and hiked to Dream Lake.
Alicia and Xack eloped in May, which is a super unpredictable time of the year in the park. There’s still snow on the ground, but the season is starting to shift into spring. You truly never know what you’re going to get in the park in May.
We had ideal weather with glowy sun throughout the day! Right as we were leaving the lake, some clouds rolled in and created some magical-looking landscapes. On the hike down, we spent some time in the forested area of the trail and admired the views at Nymph Lake.
It was an amazing day!
