Corey and Michelle had the perfect fall day for their elopement in Rocky Mountain National Park.
They decided to have a small, intimate elopement because they both have very small families and wanted to share the moment with those who mattered the most to them.
They told me that they describe themselves as “quiet and reserved (introverted)” and thought “this would be a great time to capture beautiful images in one of the most beautiful places in the United States”.

Michelle and Corey met in 2020 on Hinge. They quickly connected over their shared love of hiking, anime, and trying new foods. As a couple, they’ve built a life centered around curiosity, travel, and spending time outdoors. They knew early on that a big traditional wedding didn’t feel like them. Instead, they planned a small, intimate elopement surrounded by a few of their closest loved ones: parents, siblings, and a couple of very cute nephews.
Rather than putting their energy into a large celebration, they prioritized creating memories. Their day was designed with intention, calm energy, and a love of place.

The day began peacefully at Sprague Lake. Michelle and Corey shared a quiet first look and exchanged private vows before their loved ones joined them on the dock for the ceremony. In a beautiful personal touch, they officiated the ceremony themselves. Afterward, we took family photos on the dock and shared a celebratory toast surrounded by alpine views.
Following the ceremony, Michelle and Corey set off on a short hike, just the two of them, to Dream Lake, a stunning spot nestled about a mile into the mountains. With dramatic peaks and reflections on the water, it was the perfect place for portraits that felt like an adventure.
After the hike, we spent some time in the meadows of Rocky Mountain National Park, soaking in the landscape before returning to their Airbnb in Estes Park. There, Michelle and Corey met back up with their families to sign the marriage license. Michelle gifted everyone handmade pottery vases she had created.
