I'm a traveling wedding and elopement photographer based in Boulder, Colorado. I capture real moments with bright, bold, natural images. My goal is to make your wedding day the best it can be and ensure that you have a meaningful, memorable, FUN wedding day that is the start of a lifelong adventure.
Tianna and Kellan picked Rocky Mountain National Park for their engagement photos. They love to adventure together, and so for their session, we hiked to a stunning alpine lake in the park. This particular lake is one of my absolute favorites in Colorado, and I always love the hike whether with a couple or just as a personal adventure.
The aspen trees were at peak color, which made the hike up to the lake even prettier. Once we arrived at the lake, the water was clear and calm, and it even started snowing for a few minutes, which was totally different than the warm sunny weather at the trailhead. We watched the sunset over the mountains before hiking back down.
It was such a fun, beautiful evening, and I think Tianna and Kellan’s personalities really shined in the photos.
This blog is one of two parts for Tianna and Kellan’s engagement photos. We started the day in an aspen grove and then ended at this alpine lake. If you want to see photos from the aspen grove, check that out here!
I’m a wedding and elopement photographer based in Boulder, Colorado, but I work in Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park quite frequently! I spend a lot of time in the park, whether for work or just for personal adventures, and I know the area really well. If this blog inspired you to do engagement photos in Rocky Mountain National Park, or even to get married in the park, I’d love to chat with you! Check out some of my work in Colorado and then fill out my contact form so we can start planning your photography experience!
Note: Rocky Mountain National Park has strict regulations regarding both photography in the park and weddings in the park. If you are going to Rocky Mountain, make sure you are familiar with the park rules and obtain the proper permits. It really helps to work with a local photographer that knows the area and can help you through the permitting process! I’m very familiar with the park, and help all of my couples with permits, locations, weather preparedness, logistics, and more!
