My goal is to make your wedding day the best it can be and ensure that you have a meaningful, memorable, FUN wedding day that is the start of a lifelong adventure.
Allie and Jordan’s elopement at Merry Go Round Rock in Sedona, Arizona was so much fun! They had never been to Sedona before, and they took a trip with their closest friends and family to get married at this epic overlook.
Allie and Jordan started the day by getting ready at their Airbnb in Sedona and doing a first look on the outdoor patio. Then we all drove to the Merry Go Round Rock trailhead and jumped into 4×4 Jeep Wranglers to make the drive to the top! Alle and Jordan (and their families!) are all very into off-roading, so everyone drove themselves up the bumpy dirt road to Merry Go Round Rock.
Merry Go Round is an iconic rock formation in Sedona that offers an incredible view into a sweeping valley of red rock formations below. The rock formation and overlook is only accessible by a 4×4 OHV road.
Note: You absolutely need a high-clearance vehicle to make the drive up! Do not try the road if you don’t have the proper vehicle! You can also hike to the top, and it’s about an 8-mile round-trip hike.
Once we made it to the top, we all walked to the overlook and found the perfect spot for Allie and Jordan to say their vows. After the ceremony, everyone celebrated and enjoyed the view. Allie and Jordan stepped away from everyone to watch the sunset just the two of them, and then they rejoined everyone for dinner back in Sedona.
It was such a fun day that represented Allie and Jordan so well!
In Allie’s words:
“Overall it is just more our speed than a big event. Neither of us really looked forward to hosting, planning, and being in front of a ton of people. We both agreed it would be more meaningful and enjoyable to do something small.”
Here is their story as told by Allie:
“Jordan and I met in 2011 while racing dirt bikes. I was 13 and he was 15 years old. We’ve continued riding and racing together for the years to come. Together we’ve traveled all over the US together, mostly participating in some sort of dirt biking or outdoor activities. We are very close with our families and love to spend time and travel with them as well.
As the high school sweetheart fairytale came true, we have been through many good, bad, and awkward phases of life. We’ve literally seen each other grow from brace-faced kids to adults with established full-time jobs. Except for about 6 months in high school, we have truly been together for the whole 10 years. I knew I didn’t want to get engaged until after college because I wanted to recognize and enjoy the journey of growing up to adulthood. We have been by each other’s side for all the big steps in life!”
