Alexa and John had a beautiful beach elopement in Lewes, Delaware!

Their Story

Alexa and John met at work. In their words: “I actually thought John didn’t like me when I first started because John wouldn’t talk to me and I got the position he had also applied for. Then one day, I offered to help him with end-of-the-day tasks while he was covering for someone and we started talking (turns out John was just shy). After a month of getting to know each other and playing hard to get (not being sure about dating a coworker), I finally agreed to go on a date with John and the rest was history!”

Their Elopement

After being engaged for three years, Alexa and John decided to be spontaneous and elope in Lewes, Delaware. Alexa planned their first vacation together to Lewes in September 2019 after learning about the Dogfish Inn and how many breweries were in the area (John heard Beer and he was in!). After that trip, Lewes became their happy place, and it was the perfect location for their elopement.

John was one who wanted to elope. COVID made them realize what was important when it came to their wedding. The most important thing was getting to marry each other and starting the rest of their lives together.

John and Alexa got ready at the Dogfish Inn, had their first look at Canalfront Park, and then said their vows on the beach at Roosevelt Inlet.

It was a perfect day for them!
