Bri and Connor were married at Vanderwende Acres, a brand new wedding venue in Seaford, Delaware. This western-themed wedding was absolutely BEAUTIFUL.

Bri and Connor’s story

Bri and Connor have such a crazy, amazing love story. They met 3 years ago through rodeo. At the time, Bri was not romantically interested in Connor, but they became friends. However, Connor fell in love with Bri, and tried everything in his power to persuade her to feel the same. Bri was still NOT INTERESTED, so much so that when Connor tried to kiss her, she dove to avoid it.

Fast forward to this past fall. Bri and Connor reconnected, and grew closer. In February, Bri went to visit Connor in his home state of Missouri for the first time. Her flight home on Sunday was delayed in St. Louis. Connor came and picked her up, and they eloped at in infamous “Laverns Chapel” in Miami, Oklahoma. They literally got married at 10:00am Tuesday morning, and Bri was in her bed in Delaware at 10:00pm Tuesday night.

Now, they planned a wedding to celebrate their marriage with their families and friends, and the wedding was almost as beautiful as their incredible love story.

The Wedding

True to their roots, Bri and Connor’s wedding was western-themed and accented with bright, bold colors. They used cattle skulls as decor, the guys all wore cowboy hats, and the cupcakes were topped with big fondant cacti. The coolest part was seeing Bri and Connor’s own cattle brand, which looks like a sunrise, throughout the wedding. Bri and Connor branded their family Bible with their cattle brand during the ceremony, which was such a cool experience for everyone.

Since they eloped in Oklahoma, Bri had never seen her engagement ring or wedding band until the ceremony! This was her reaction to seeing her rings for the first time:

Vanderwende Acres is a new wedding venue in Seaford, Delaware, and this wedding was the first official wedding at the property. The venue features a restored barn, a large covered pavilion, a fireplace, and a large open space to dance under the stars.
